Kerf compensation

The laser removes a kerf-wide slot centred on your vector. Cutting on the line, an outer feature ends up one kerf smaller and a hole one kerf larger — so draw outer features +kerf and holes −kerf, or offset every path by kerf ÷ 2. Measure your own kerf on scrap; 0.1–0.2 mm is typical for 3 mm ply.
